Harmony Rebekah Lodge No. 38
The Harmony Rebekah Lodge No. 38 began in 1912. The Order of Rebekah-Oddfellowship, based on the Bible, is dedicated to offer kindly ministration to the sick, needy, aged, widows and orphans, and all in distress, and to extend the fraternal relations of life.
The Rebekah's undertake different fundraisers to support and maintain personal care homes, Koins for Kids, The Visual Eye Research Foundation, The Manitoba Eye Bank, The Ability Fund, the Arthritis Society and the Afflicted Children's Fund. In Cartwright in the past, they have given support for furnishings and maintenance of a ward in Cartwright Hospital, supported local students to go to the United Nations Youth Pilgrimage and to United Nations seminars in Brandon, financed stacking chairs for community use, and the brick and iron archway and link fence at Cartwright Cemetery.
