MATHER FALL FESTIVAL
The Cartwright-Roblin Community Development Corporation was so pleased with the feedback and excitement generated by the Mather Fall Festival in 2014, it was inevitable that we would want to see it happen again! Dustin Mymko, Community Development Officer says "The Mather Fall Festival was a great addition to the lineup of community events that Cartwright-Roblin Municipality has to offer. Last year's inaugural event brought a lot of people together in Mather for a wonderful afternoon and evening of activities for all ages and we're excited about the new additions to this year's festival."
Well-attended events such as the Prairie Spirit Drill Team ride and Walking Poker Derby are on the agenda again, and we are excited to offer another FREE door prize draw of St. Louis Blues paraphernalia donated by Terry Yake, formerly of Mather. Kids get to test their skills and search for clues in the NEW Kid Challenge. The Old Ball Park hosts a variety of afternoon events including kite flying (bring your own or buy one there, but fly it for fun!), a NEW stilt obstacle course, kids train rides, bouncy castle, and NEW pumpkin patch game! Back at Mather Hall, enjoy some delicious Canadian beef at the steak barbecue, or have a beverage at the beer gardens. Kids get to play some more and construct a craft, then enjoy a FREE kids movie!
Mather is a beautiful little community with much to offer - the kids playground has been newly renovated, the mini train tourist attraction site is a geocache station, the old United Church is a newly renovated antique craft and tea house “DiviniTea”, and Mather General Store boasts the cheapest cup of coffee known in Southern Manitoba! Drive to Mather on September 12, 2015... fly a kite in this friendly community and enjoy some southern Manitoba hospitality!
