Spray Programs Public Notice

– PUBLIC NOTICE –

Public notice is hereby given that Cartwright-Roblin Municipality intends to conduct the following Pest Control Programs during the year of 2018. These programs will be carried out on public properties owned and/or operated by the previously named corporation and may include:

MB Infrastructure
Prairie Spirit School Division
Davidson Memorial Health Centre
Cartwright Golf Course

1. To control noxious weeds on all public roads and municipal property within the jurisdiction of the Cartwright-Roblin Municipality. The projected dates of application will be from June 1, 2017 to October 31, 2017. The herbicides proposed for use include:

2,4-D Amine
2,4-D Ester
2,4-D Choline
Triclopyr
Dicamba
Picloram
Aminopyralid
Amitrole
Glyphosate
Dichlorprop
Bromacil
Propyzamide
Metsulfuron methyl
Aminocyclopyrachlor
Chlorsulfuron
Fluroxypyr
FeHEDTA
Acetic Acid
Diflufenzopyr
MCPA Amine

2. To control insect pests as required, including Grasshoppers, Mosquitoes, Elm Bark Beetles, Cankerworms, etc. The projected dates for these programs will be from June 1, 2017 to October 31, 2017. The insecticides proposed for possible use include:

Carbaryl
Permanone
Deltamethrin
Chlorpyrifos
Bacillus thuringis
Malathion

3. To control vertebrate pests (rats, gophers, etc.) as necessary throughout the year. The rodenticides proposed for use include: Bromadiolone

4. To control turf grass diseases at Cartwright Golf Course as required. Proposed dates of application are from June 1, 2017 to November 30, 2017. The disease control products proposed for use include:

5. To control trees diseases in conifers using: Chlorothalonil

The Public may, within 15 days after this notice, send written submissions (objections or conditions) to specific control programs, or register with the department their written objection to the use of a pesticide adjacent to their property (noting your property location and area of concern) included in this proposal to Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship.
