Recreation & Senior Services Report - Feb 27

Doreen Delgaty will be teaching a mini yoga session of 4 weeks starting in April. We will be going back to Mondays. The first class would be on April 3rd. If you would like to register, please call or email. It will cost $44.00 for the session. A minimum of 8 registrants is necessary to run the program.

Jeanine Turnbull will be teaching a “Painting with Acrylics” art class this spring! Come explore this medium and your own creativity! Acrylic paints have their own characteristics not attainable with other mediums. They dry quickly making them more forgiving than other paints, you just have to simply paint over your mistakes! This class will be relaxed and accepting. Jeanine is a very talented local artist who works with a variety of different mediums. If you’re interested in learning how to work with acrylics, please come join us from April 12th- May 17th at the Mac Robinson Community Centre from 7:00-9:00PM. Pre-registration is required and spaces are filling up. For this 6-week class it will cost $65.00. Supplies are not included in that cost. If you are requiring supplies, please let me know by March 3rd.

Jeanine will also be starting up her Mother Goose Rhyme Time program on April 12th. This wonderful program will run every Wednesday from 10:00AM-11:00AM, April 12th until May 17th at the Merry Makers club. All pre-school children along with their parents are welcome! This is a FREE program and will include snacks, songs, rhymes and of course fun! Please contact Jeanine for any further information: 204-529-2447.

Hall Walking has begun! If you’re wanting to go walking without having to worry about the snow or ice, please join us every Monday and Wednesday from 11:00AM-1:00PM at the Cartwright Centennial Auditorium. A big THANKYOU to the Cartwright Centennial Auditorium board for your support with this program and allowing us to use the space and to be able to offer this program FREE of charge!
